Pain Management Fellowship
COURSE DETAILS
Delhi Pain Management Centre,New Delhi in association with the Aesculap Academy Worldwide conducts a 2 weeks full time certificate course - Observership cum Hands on at New Delhi. The course is held every month from Feburuary to May and from July to November . 3 trainees are selected for each batch based on their experience and interest in the specialty of Pain Medicine. Applicant has to apply in advance for the course by filling up the attached form.

This is a structured course covering basic sciences, clinical pain medicine, radiology , physical medicine and all allied specialties associated with Pain Medicine. The course consists of didactic lectures, live demonstrations , video presentations, visit to other hospitals, handson experience on simulators and patients.

At the end of the course,the candidate is assessed and a certificate isawarded on successful completion. The working hours during the course will be 9AM to 7PM .A well stocked library is available round the clock to all the participants during the course days. The course fee of Rs 20,000 covers the cost of teaching material, DVDs, kit, transportation during the working hours, lunch and tea on all working days. One will arrange own accommodation and transportation to the centre every day. Our staff would however help in finding suitable accommodation if so desired.

A Clinical Approach to a patient with Pain
1) History taking, patients assessment & pain measurement
2) Pharmacotherapy in pain management including neurolytic agents & botulinum toxin
Pain spectrum – Acute & Chronic Pain
Nociceptive, visceral & neuropathic & pain
Progression from acute to chronic Pain Central Sensitisation
